Online Keno Rules.
Keno is commonly played in bingo halls as well as in casinos and at its most basic very simple to play, a player chooses 20 numbers from 1 to 80, numbers are then drawn and the player wins money based on the number of correct number which he has chosen. Although in the original game players could pick a maximum of 20 numbers, it is common for casinos to limit the selection to only 10 or 15 numbers and thus increase their advantage.

Prior to a draw, in most casinos draws take place every 5 minutes although some draws are daily or even weekly, a player chooses his numbers and registers his ticket at a “keno booth”. The numbers which are drawn are then shown on a monitor or board and once the draw is finished winning players have only until the next draw to collect their winnings, as once the next draw has started the ticket becomes void and any winnings a player might have are automatically lost. It is possible to buy tickets which are for multiple games and thus mitigate against the possibility of having a void ticket. The most common form of ticket for this is called a “multi-race”, whereby the player chooses his numbers and they are valid for a series of games. Also available in some casinos are tickets for more than 30 games known as a “stray and play” ticket, which in most cases need not be cashed in for up to a year after the first game.

Keno is becoming a commonly offered game for many national lotteries and the draw time varies from country to country and many casinos offer variations of the basic game in order to attract more and more players with the possibility of huge winnings. It is also possible to play a video game version of keno, which is reputed to pay out more often than the traditional game.
